Trentino to experience oversized transport transit and traffic disruptions

An oversized transport operation is scheduled to traverse the Trentino region from south to north during the night between August 10 and August 11. The convoy will travel along the SS12 Brennero highway, entering the province from the Veneto border near Borghetto at approximately 22:00 and exiting toward South Tyrol near Salorno around 01:30.

The transit may cause temporary road closures, traffic diversions, and delays. Key locations along the route include Ala, Rovereto, Trento, and San Michele all’Adige. At midnight, the convoy is expected to pass through via di Spini, involving a level crossing on the Trento-Malè-Mezzana line coordinated by Trentino Trasporti.

To minimize disruption, authorities recommend using the SP90 ‘Destra Adige’ or the A22 motorway where possible. Technicians from the Province of Trento’s Road Management Service will monitor sensitive points to ensure infrastructure integrity and traffic safety.
