Trento Economic Festival draws record crowds and urges youth involvement

The 21st edition of the Festival dell'Economia di Trento concluded with record participation, attracting around 45,000 visitors, featuring 830 speakers and 350 events over five days, and achieving 95% occupancy of local accommodations.

A central theme was the generational transition in Italy’s jewellery sector. Representatives of Federpreziosi, Federorafi and Confindustria stressed the need for stronger school‑business collaboration to draw young talent, modernise production and safeguard the Made in Italy heritage.

Officials also used the festival to promote broader messages of peace and youth empowerment, noting the slogan “the squirrel people want peace,” and highlighted topics such as artificial intelligence, urging young people to engage actively in economic debates.
