Trenton wrong-way crash kills one and injures three

A wrong-way two-car collision on Route 1 south in Trenton resulted in one fatality and three injuries. The crash occurred near the New York Avenue ramp at approximately 2:45 a.m.

One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while the three injured parties were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. An initial investigation suggests that one of the vehicles was traveling in the wrong direction.

The accident caused the closure of Route 1 south through the morning commute, leading to significant delays on Business Route 1 and surrounding roads. According to State Police statistics, this marks the third fatal crash on Route 1 in Mercer County this year.
