Tres de Febrero: Woman hospitalized after acid attack during fake delivery
A 25-year-old woman, Agustina Soledad Rodríguez, is in intensive care following an acid attack at her home in Pablo Podestá, Tres de Febrero. The incident occurred on August 27 around 4:00 PM while the victim was resting with her three-year-old daughter.
The assailant reportedly used the pretext of delivering a package to approach the residence. When the victim approached the window to verify the delivery, the attacker threw a corrosive chemical directly at her face and upper body. Rodríguez sustained burns to approximately 32% of her body, including her face, neck, and chest. She was rushed to Hospital Bocalandro, where medical staff noted a high probability that she may lose her vision.
Prosecutor Diana Makyo is leading the investigation. While gender-based violence has been ruled out as a primary hypothesis, authorities are investigating potential motives, as family members reported that the victim's partner and close associates had received threats days prior to the attack. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle toward Hurlingham, and police are currently reviewing security footage to identify and locate the individual.
