Tresigallo launches student housing and electric car-sharing initiative

The municipality of Tresignana, comprising the former communes of Tresigallo and Formignana in the Ferrara province, is launching an urban regeneration project on October 1. Led by Mayor Mirko Perelli, the initiative aims to address the shortage of affordable student housing in Ferrara by providing 21 beds in redeveloped properties located in Tresigallo, just 15 minutes from the University of Ferrara.

To support student mobility, the project includes an innovative electric car-sharing service. The municipality will provide four electric vehicles at a subsidized rate, with costs set to be equal to or lower than a standard bus ticket. This measure is intended to assist students who lack personal vehicles and face insufficient public transport connections for university, work, and cultural activities. The initiative also involves collaboration with the University of Bologna and the University of Ferrara, particularly the Faculty of Architecture.
