TreVeyon Henderson faces injury uncertainty ahead of Patriots season opener

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson faces uncertainty ahead of the team’s season opener against the Seattle Seahawks this Wednesday. Henderson has been dealing with an ankle injury sustained on August 24 and has not practiced since the injury occurred.

Head coach Mike Vrabel has described Henderson’s status as “day-to-day,” but medical experts have expressed concern that the player is running out of time to recover before the team departs for Seattle on Sunday. Henderson was a significant contributor during the 2025 regular season, recording 911 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.

If Henderson is unable to play, Rhamondre Stevenson is expected to take over primary rushing duties. Corey Kiner would serve as the next backup in the rotation.
