Treviso defeats Lecco 1-0 with late penalty

Treviso secured its first three points of the Serie C season with a 1-0 victory over Lecco at the Omobono Tenni stadium. The match remained deadlocked until the final moments of stoppage time.

In the 97th minute, a penalty was awarded to Treviso following a foul on Romeo. Erik Gerbi, who had entered the match as a substitute for Tommasini, successfully converted the penalty to decide the game. The decision followed a review by the Football Video Support (FVS).

Lecco, managed by Federico Valente, controlled significant portions of the match and created several opportunities, including a notable attempt by Moutassime that was saved by Treviso goalkeeper Nobile. Valente expressed disappointment following the loss, noting that the team fought hard but was undone by a late decisive episode.

Treviso's victory marks a significant return to professional home matches after thirteen years, while Lecco faces the challenge of finding consistency as their squad undergoes changes during the transfer window.
