Treviso Cathedral presents restored Renaissance painting

The restored Renaissance painting ‘Assunzione della Vergine’ (1520) by Domenico Capriolo is being presented to the public at the Treviso Cathedral. The artwork, which reflects the artistic dialogue between Treviso and Venice, was originally part of the altar of the prebenda dei Baldacchini.

The conservation project was funded by private contributors Daniela Chinaglia and Giorgio De Conti in memory of their parents. The restoration was carried out by local experts Roberto Saccuman and Marta Schiavinato. Following the presentation, the painting will return to its dedicated chapel within the cathedral.
