Treviso Forensic 2026 seminar addresses forensic engineering and expert fees

The sixth edition of ‘Treviso Forensic’ is currently underway in Treviso, Italy, drawing over 300 participants and featuring 35 speakers. Organized by the Order of Engineers and the Association of Engineers of the Province of Treviso, the biennial seminar has established itself as a national reference point for forensic engineering.

During the event, professionals have raised concerns regarding inadequate compensation for Technical Consultants (CTU) and experts. Participants highlighted the need for fee adjustments aligned with Istat data, a matter that has gained urgency following a recent ruling by the TAR Lazio. The court ordered the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Economy and Finance to address the adjustment of these fees within 120 days.

Alessandro Turchetto, president of the Order of Engineers, emphasized that equitable compensation is essential to ensure that qualified experts can continue to provide reliable, high-quality technical support to the judicial system with full responsibility.
