Trevoh Chalobah joins Italian club Como from Chelsea in €30m deal
English centre‑back Trevoh Chalobah, 27, leaves Chelsea after nearly two decades to sign for Serie A side Como. The transfer is reported at €30 million with up to €6 million in performance bonuses and a resale clause favouring Chelsea. Chalobah made more than 150 appearances for the London club following a youth‑academy upbringing and several loan spells at Ipswich, Huddersfield, Lorient and Crystal Palace.
Como, coached by former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fàbregas, are preparing for their first Champions League campaign and view Chalobah as a key defensive reinforcement. The move also recalls a previous Chalobah family link to Italy, when his brother Nathaniel spent a brief loan spell at Napoli.
