Seattle Seahawks sign cornerback Trevon Diggs to one-year deal

The Seattle Seahawks have signed two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs to a one-year contract. The move aims to bolster the defense of the reigning Super Bowl champions following the departure of key defenders like Tariq Woolen.

Diggs, 27, joins Seattle after stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. He previously led the NFL in interceptions in 2021. While his recent seasons have been hampered by knee injuries and a concussion, Diggs stated he is “fully healthy” and ready to compete.

The signing also sets up a Week 3 matchup between Trevon and his brother, Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Additionally, the Seahawks have reached an agreement to sign cornerback Terrion Arnold, though he is expected to be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List pending an investigation into felony charges.
