Trey Hendrickson prepares for first game against former Bengals team

Baltimore Ravens defensive end Trey Hendrickson is set to face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, marking his first matchup against his former team since joining the Ravens as a free agent. Hendrickson, who spent five seasons in Cincinnati before a contract dispute, has recently returned to form following a finger operation, recording a sack in his previous game against Cleveland.

Ravens teammates have expressed high expectations for Hendrickson’s performance. Linebacker Trenton Simpson predicted Hendrickson would record at least two sacks against his former club, while veteran Calais Campbell noted the emotional weight of facing a former organization. Hendrickson has publicly downplayed the reunion, stating he has forgiven his former team and is focused on the upcoming opponent.

The matchup also features a significant question regarding the health of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has been limited in practice due to an ankle injury. The game sets up a potential showdown between Jackson and Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
