Trey Wright commits to USC over Oregon for 2028 recruiting cycle

Three-star quarterback Trey Wright has committed to USC for the 2028 recruiting cycle. Wright, a dual-threat prospect from Frisco High in Texas, chose the Trojans over other finalists including Oregon, SMU, Kentucky, and Arizona.

Following the announcement, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray—a former player of USC coach Lincoln Riley—sent a video message to Wright. In the message, Murray praised Riley as a “great teacher, great mentor and developer” and encouraged Wright to strive for improvement every day.
