TRF5 announces competition for Substitute Federal Judges

The Federal Regional Court of the 5th Region (TRF5) has released the official notice for the 16th Public Competition to fill the position of Substitute Federal Judge. The selection process offers 11 immediate vacancies plus the formation of a reserve list.

The opportunities are divided among general competition and reserved spots for persons with disabilities, as well as Black, Indigenous, and Quilombola candidates. The Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) is responsible for organizing the exam. Registration is open from August 28 to September 28, 2026, via the internet, with a fee of R$ 350.

Candidates must hold a law degree and demonstrate at least three years of legal activity. The selection process consists of five stages: a selective objective exam, written exams (discursive and sentence drafting), a background and social investigation, an oral exam, and a title evaluation. The initial salary for the position is R$ 37,765.55.
