Târgu Jiu: Four-year-old child in coma after wardrobe accident

A four-year-old child is in a coma after being accidentally struck in the head by a falling wardrobe in Târgu Jiu, Romania. The incident occurred on Saturday morning while the child was under the supervision of his grandmother at her home.

Emergency services were alerted via a 112 call after the child was found unconscious. By the time police arrived, the boy's uncle had already transported him to the hospital. He was subsequently airlifted by a SMURD helicopter for medical intervention.

The Gorj County Police Inspectorate has opened a criminal case regarding negligent bodily harm to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
