Târgu Jiu police expand investigation into Ursați incident

The investigation into a violent incident that occurred in the Ursați neighborhood of Târgu Jiu on the night of October 3-4 has expanded. Police from the Gorj County Police Inspectorate have extended criminal proceedings to include a 31-year-old woman from Târgu Jiu. She is suspected of aiding a perpetrator by providing assistance to someone evading criminal prosecution, an act intended to hinder or obstruct the investigation.

The woman has been detained for 24 hours and placed in the Târgu Jiu Detention and Preventive Arrest Center. The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Târgu Jiu Court.

Additionally, authorities have continued criminal proceedings against two men regarding the disturbance of public order and tranquility. One 36-year-old man from Târgu Jiu faces charges including assault, threats, violation of weapons and ammunition regulations, and disturbing public order.
