Trial postponed in fatal traffic accident involving musician Dejan Mitrović

The trial regarding the fatal traffic accident that killed 36-year-old musician Dejan Mitrović on the Obrenovac road near Ostružnica has been postponed to November 4. The incident occurred on January 22, 2024.

Following the recent hearing at the Palace of Justice, Mitrović’s mother, Marina Mitrović, expressed deep distress over the proceedings. She reported being insulted by the defense attorney, who allegedly called her uneducated because she struggled to recall specific dates during testimony.

Marina Mitrović highlighted the family's ongoing struggle, noting that she is supporting her son's widow and three young daughters while managing her own health issues. She also criticized the court for not yet calling the victim's widow, Nevena Vasić, to testify, despite her being the last person to speak with Dejan before his death. The family continues to seek justice and a conviction for those responsible.
