Triathlon championships held at La Izvor Park in Chișinău

The 2026 national triathlon championship and the European Junior Triathlon Cup were held at La Izvor Park in Chișinău. The events featured nearly 200 athletes competing in various categories, including cadets, juniors, supersprint, and the Olympic distance.

In the Olympic category, Sofia Bondarenko from Ukraine won the women's competition, while Daniel Babanschi secured the national title for men. The junior competition saw significant international participation, with over 400 junior athletes from 35 different countries competing in accordance with World Triathlon standards.
