Triathlon officials and athletes complete training in Paraíso

Approximately 30 athletes, coaches, and officials from the Dominican Triathlon Federation (Fedotri) completed a four-day Sports Administration course in the municipality of Paraíso, Barahona.

The training program covered various specialized topics, including strategic planning, governance, the history of the Olympic Movement, International Olympic Committee (IOC) management models, sports medicine, doping, ethics, and the application of artificial intelligence in sports.

Mayor Francisco Acosta led the certificate presentation, noting the importance of youth training for community development. Fedotri President Franklin de la Cruz stated that the knowledge acquired would help participants face new challenges in the development of Dominican triathlon, while Pedro Julio Quezada, director of the Olympic Academy, encouraged participants to apply their new skills to improve sports management.
