Tribe Culture Fest denies allegations of receiving $611,000
Tribe Culture Fest and its CEO, Nana Boateng Gyimah, have denied allegations made by the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, regarding the illegal receipt of $611,000 from private individuals. The organization maintains that it did not receive these funds and is not avoiding any required refunds.
During a press conference, Gyimah clarified that the organization’s financial dealings with the National Sports Authority and the Ghana Tourism Authority were strictly institutional and contractual, covering logistics such as travel, hotel bookings, and security. He stated that Tribe charged specific fees for its services and did not engage in personal financial transactions with individuals seeking visas for the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
Gyimah has challenged Minister Adams to provide documentary evidence, including the identities of the alleged payers, the recipients of the funds, and the legal basis for any refund obligation. The CEO warned that the unsubstantiated allegations could damage the organization’s reputation and commercial relationships.
