Tribeca and CHANEL announce 11th Through Her Lens filmmaker program

Tribeca Enterprises and CHANEL have announced the eleventh edition of ‘THROUGH HER LENS: The Tribeca CHANEL Women’s Filmmaker Program’, scheduled for September 22–24 in New York City.

The initiative is designed to support U.S.-based women and non-binary filmmakers through workshops, mentorship, and funding. Participants engage in sessions covering script development, directing, music composition, and costume design. The program concludes with live pitches to an expert jury. One winning team receives full financing to produce a short film with support from Tribeca Studios, while four others receive development grants.

The 2026 jury includes Meg Ryan, Halle Berry, Regina King, Autumn Durald Arkapaw, and Ella Rubin. Mentors for the program include Celine Song, Aleshea Harris, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Fala Chen, and Gina Prince-Bythewood. Conversation leaders include H. E. R., Laura Karpman, Miyako Bellizzi, Patty Jenkins, Cassandra Kulukundis, and Riva Marker.

Since its founding in 2015, the program has developed 50 short films, with 10 receiving full funding. These projects have premiered at major festivals such as Sundance and the Toronto International Film Festival, securing distribution on platforms including Max and Criterion.
