Tribeca emerges as New York City's new art gallery hub

Tribeca has emerged as New York City’s new preeminent district for major art galleries, signaling a significant shift away from the Chelsea neighborhood. This migration has occurred in waves, with a notable surge following the pandemic.

Several global art-selling institutions have established a presence in the area. Marian Goodman recently moved from 57th Street to a renovated building on Broadway. Pace opened a gallery in 2022, and David Zwirner has expanded his presence through the 52 Walker space. Additionally, Karma is scheduled to open an outpost on White Street later this year.
