Tribunal de Contas do Amazonas advances AI innovation partnership with Suframa

On 29 April, the Tribunal de Contas do Amazonas (TCE‑AM) received a delegation from the Superintendência da Zona Franca de Manaus (Suframa), including superintendent Leopoldo Montenegro and deputy superintendent Waldenir Vieira. President of the court, councilor Yara Amazônia Lins, presented AI initiatives such as AMAZON.IA and EmCampo, as well as the court’s innovation laboratory, data centre and technical team. She said the visit reinforces the court’s commitment to innovation and expands cooperation for more efficient public management in Amazonas.

The meeting also moved forward the accreditation process of the Institute of Sciences, Advanced Studies and Sustainability (ICEAS) with the Committee of Research and Development Activities in the Amazon (Capda). ICEAS head Aristóteles Gustavo de Almeida Neto explained that the presented infrastructure will support the technical opinion to be sent to Capda, enabling ICEAS to join the network of institutions eligible for IT‑law research funding and to broaden partnerships with universities, scientific bodies and companies. Suframa highlighted the recent growth in accredited institutions, strengthening the Amazon innovation ecosystem.
