Tribunal de Contas do Paraná orders Terra Rica to improve transparency and partners with Ipardes for data-driven overse
The Tribunal de Contas do Estado do Paraná (TCE‑PR) found that the municipality of Terra Rica repeatedly failed to meet the 20‑day response deadline required by Brazil’s Access to Information Law. The court ordered the town to present a corrective action plan within 90 days and to restructure its communication and transparency channels.
In a separate move, TCE‑PR approved a five‑year technical cooperation agreement with the Instituto Paranaense de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (Ipardes). The pact grants the audit court access to statistical data covering the 399 municipalities of Paraná, enabling more precise risk‑based analyses and evaluations of municipal public‑policy performance while complying with data‑protection rules.
