Amazonas Court of Justice installs three new appellate judges

The Court of Justice of Amazonas (TJAM) held a solemn session in Manaus to officially swear in three new appellate judges: Ana Maria de Oliveira Diógenes, Paulo Fernando de Britto Feitoza, and Marco Aurélio de Lima Choy.

Ana Maria de Oliveira Diógenes was appointed based on merit, and Paulo Fernando de Britto Feitoza was appointed based on seniority. Marco Aurélio de Lima Choy joined the court via the ‘Quinto Constitucional’ (Constitutional Fifth) quota designated for the legal profession.

The ceremony, led by TJAM President Jomar Fernandes, included the presentation of judicial merit diplomas and medals. The new judges bring diverse backgrounds from the judiciary, academia, and legal practice to the court's 26-member appellate bench.
