Tribunales station reopens after comprehensive renovation

The Tribunales station on Line D of the Buenos Aires subway system reopened on Monday following a comprehensive renovation project. Part of the Integral Station Renovation Plan led by Subterráneos de Buenos Aires, the works aimed to modernize the infrastructure of the station, which was originally inaugurated before 1945.

The renovation included waterproofing, new painting, metallic wall and ceiling coverings to prevent leaks, floor replacement, and the installation of LED lighting. To improve accessibility and comfort, new signage, Braille indicators on handrails, and new platform furniture such as benches and waste bins were also installed. Additionally, professional restorers worked to preserve the station’s heritage murals.

While the station is open, work continues on the lobby located on Talcahuano Street. Consequently, those specific entrances remain closed, and commuters are directed to use the entrances at Lavalle 1245 and Libertad 540. This reopening brings the total number of renovated stations under the current plan to 21 across various subway lines.
