Trier region police conduct traffic and sobriety controls

Police in the Trier, Luxembourg, and Saarland regions are conducting various traffic enforcement operations, including speed camera checks and sobriety controls.

In Traben-Trarbach, recent enforcement actions resulted in the identification of four drivers operating under the influence of alcohol or cannabis. These incidents involved both motorists and electric scooter riders, leading to blood samples being taken and criminal proceedings being initiated.

Scheduled speed enforcement and radar controls are active across several locations in the region. In Germany, specific checkpoints are set for the B51, B50, and A602. In Luxembourg, controls are planned for areas including Hosingen, Tuntange, and Luxembourg City. In Saarland, enforcement is focused on the B10, B41, and A6 motorways.
