Trieste Airport and Aeroitalia expand winter 2026/27 flight schedules

Trieste Airport and Aeroitalia have announced an expanded flight schedule for the winter 2026/27 season, focusing on increased connectivity to Southern Italy and Sardinia.

A key component of the plan is the reinforcement of the Trieste–Salerno route. Currently operating twice weekly, the frequency will increase to three flights per week on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays. During November and the Christmas holiday period, a fourth weekly flight will be added on Saturdays. This expansion is noted as particularly significant due to the planned temporary closure of Naples Airport in November 2026.

To meet holiday travel demand, Aeroitalia is also introducing special seasonal flights to Sardinia. The Trieste–Olbia route will operate on December 24 and 30, as well as January 2 and 6, 2027. The Trieste–Alghero route will feature flights on December 23, 26, and 29, 2026, and January 4, 2027. The airline also continues its territorial continuity service to Milan Linate.
