The Trieste Carnival Palio is expanding for its 2027 edition. The San Vito district will join the competition for the first time, while the San Giovanni district returns to the race.

Details regarding the themes, full calendar, participation methods, and mobility measures for the 2027 festivities will be presented on October 8 during the Barcolana event. The expansion is expected to increase the number of participating groups, volunteers, and organizational capacity for the city's celebrations.
