Trieste political group initiates debate on social and healthcare services

The Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (AVS) has launched a series of meetings titled ‘Insieme Trieste si cura’ to discuss the future of social and healthcare services in Trieste. The inaugural meeting, held on October 23, focused on mental health and the necessity of building a service network that is closely integrated with the community.

Regional Councilor Serena Pellegrino emphasized the need to move beyond fragmented interventions by investing in public services and ensuring a strong territorial presence. The initiative aims to develop a political proposal for upcoming municipal elections, centering on public responsibility for care and the role of communities in supporting vulnerable individuals.
