Trieste transport operators seek technical committee to address market competition

Transport cooperatives and artisans in Trieste are calling for a technical committee to address market regularity, particularly regarding services provided to cruise ship tourists. Representatives from Confcooperative Lavoro e servizi FVG, Confartigianato Fvg, and CNA Fvg met to discuss the impact of numerous operators and buses arriving from neighboring Slovenia.

Maurizio Era, regional president of Confcooperative Lavoro e servizi FVG, proposed a dialogue with regional administration and the Prefecture to coordinate inspections. The goal is to ensure equal market access and working conditions for both local and foreign operators. Luigi Donatone of Confcooperative Fvg highlighted the need for coordinated checks to maintain service standards and regulatory compliance within the specific context of Trieste’s transport sector.
