Trifun Kostovski attacks Macedonian prosecutor over Eurostandard Bank case
Businessman Trifun Kostovski posted a lengthy statement on Facebook addressing public prosecutor Katërina Kolarevich, who had filed an indictment against him in the Eurostandard Bank case.
Kostovski accused her of spending five and a half years investigating without finding any evidence of crime or money laundering, suggesting the prosecution was driven by “centers of power” seeking to damage his reputation. He referenced the earlier “Mazut” case involving about €160 million that was closed after a year, and demanded that Kolarevich resign, saying she was serving others' interests rather than justice.
