TRIHMS and AIIMS Guwahati host medical research workshop in Arunachal Pradesh

The Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun, in collaboration with AIIMS Guwahati, conducted a two-day training programme on September 3 and 4. The workshop focused on systematic review, meta-analysis, GRADE-based guideline development, and Health Technology Assessment (HTA).

Funded by the Department of Health Research under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the initiative aimed to strengthen evidence-based healthcare and research capacity within Arunachal Pradesh. The training provided participants with skills in literature searching, protocol preparation, data extraction, and risk-of-bias assessment to better inform clinical practice and healthcare policy.

Participants included faculty members from TRIHMS, Rajiv Gandhi University, the State Health Agency, and the Directorate of Health Services. Experts from IIT Guwahati, Tezpur University, and the AIIMS Guwahati Technical Resource Centre led the scientific sessions.
