Trim releases new single ‘Get Hit’

South Carolina rapper Trim has released her new single, ‘Get Hit,’ accompanied by a music video. The track features production that samples the 2014 song ‘Hookah’ by Young Thug and Tyga.

The 20-year-old artist, born Ahlaisha Kornickey, is building on a series of recent releases including ‘Coconut Water,’ ‘CHROME,’ and ‘Nobody.’ Her career momentum includes a spot in XXL’s 2026 Freshman class and remixes of ‘Nobody’ featuring Monaleo and G Herbo.

Trim, who hails from Charleston, is noted for a unique vocal style that incorporates her Gullah Geechee accent and varied pitch shifts. While some listeners have drawn comparisons to Nicki Minaj, Trim attributes her sound to her regional upbringing and diverse musical influences.
