Trimble launches ST30 smart target for surveying
Trimble has announced the launch of the ST30 smart target, a new surveying system that integrates optical and subscription-based GNSS functionality into a single device. The system is designed to support various surveying and construction tasks, including topographic surveys, stakeout, cadastral work, and as-built verification.
Key technical features of the ST30 include a 360-degree prism, an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), a GNSS receiver, and automated rod height measurement. The device also offers tilt compensation, which allows for measurements of hard-to-access points and removes the need for operators to manually monitor a level bubble. The hardware is constructed from magnesium and aluminum with a protective top bumper and shielded LEDs for use in diverse jobsite conditions.
The ST30 integrates with Trimble’s ecosystem of field, office, and cloud software, including Trimble Access, Siteworks, FieldLink, Business Center, and Connect. It is compatible with Trimble S-, RTS-, and SPS-series robotic total stations. The product will be showcased at INTERGEO 2026 in Munich, Germany.
