Trinamool Congress faces allegations of 30 crore rupee fund transfer

West Bengal Leader of the Opposition, Ritabrata Banerjee, has alleged a major financial scandal involving the Trinamool Congress (TMC). He claims approximately 30 crore rupees were transferred from party accounts to a company named ‘Leaps and Bounds’, which is reportedly linked to Abhishek Banerjee.

Banerjee asserted that the ongoing dispute regarding the TMC election symbol is being used as a distraction from these fund transfers. He cited statements from the Solicitor General in the Supreme Court, noting that the company in question is currently under investigation and has been charge-sheeted in connection with an SSC scam.

In response, TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee accused the BJP government of misusing state machinery to target opposition parties. He cited recent actions, such as the removal of party signage and fire safety audits at party offices, as evidence of political harassment.
