Trinbago Knight Riders defeat Jamaica Empress in CPL

The Trinbago Knight Riders secured their second consecutive victory in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League with a nine-wicket win over the Jamaica Empress at Kensington Oval.

After the Empress batted first, they struggled to build momentum, finishing their 20 overs at 100 for 9. Rashada Williams top-scored with 40 runs, while Chinelle Henry remained unbeaten on 22. The Knight Riders' bowling effort was led by Karishma Ramharack, who took 3 for 11, and the Empress suffered early setbacks including the loss of Meg Lanning.

In response, Yastika Bhatia anchored the chase with an unbeaten 57 from 34 balls. She was joined by captain Deandra Dottin, who scored 22 from 15 balls, forming an unbeaten 69-run partnership to reach the target with 53 balls to spare. The Knight Riders will next face the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
