Saint Lucia Kings defeat Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL clash

In a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 match at the Queen’s Park Oval, the Saint Lucia Kings defeated the Trinbago Knight Riders by 36 runs. Tim Seifert led the Kings with an unbeaten 105 off 61 balls, marking the first century of the season and setting a tournament-high total of 211 for 4.

Despite a strong start by the Knight Riders' openers, Kings captain Roston Chase turned the tide by taking three wickets in a single over, including the dismissals of Sunil Narine, Matthew Breetzke, and Nicholas Pooran. Kieron Pollard provided a late fight for the Knight Riders with 65 runs off 26 balls, but the team finished at 175 for 6.

During the match, Sunil Narine achieved a significant career milestone, becoming only the second bowler in T20 history to claim 650 wickets, joining Rashid Khan in the exclusive club. Narine finished the game with figures of 1 for 27.
