Trinidad Chambliss Named Preseason All-American, Embraces Ole Miss Pressure
Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss of the Ole Miss Rebels was selected as a first‑team preseason All‑American by Sporting News, marking him as one of the SEC’s most watched players. Chambliss, a former Ferris State Division II champion who transferred to Ole Miss, is praised for his dual‑threat ability to run and pass in Lane Kiffin’s offense.
After leading Ole Miss to a 13‑2 record, more than 4,000 yards of offense and 30 touchdowns last season, Chambliss signed a $5 million NIL deal and drew national attention, including ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit calling him “the face of college football.” Head coach Pete Golding said the quarterback welcomes the hype, and Chambliss himself said pressure is a privilege he asked for as he prepares for the 2026 campaign.
