Trinidad transport workers warn of ongoing fuel shortages

Transport workers in Trinidad, Beni, are warning of continued fuel instability despite a recent decrease in queues at service stations. The Federation of Transportistas 18 de Noviembre reports that the supply of diesel and gasoline remains irregular and intermittent.

Rony Jiménez, an executive for Benian road transport, stated that the current lack of long lines should not be mistaken for a permanent solution, noting that fuel provision is not meeting the required 24-hour availability. The federation argues that the Beni department requires approximately three million liters of diesel and gasoline to satisfy regional demand and ensure consistent distribution.

This follows previous reports from YPFB regarding fuel shipments to the area. While the state company previously announced gradual increases in deliveries to authorized stations, transport leaders maintain that supply levels remain insufficient to guarantee 100% coverage.
