Trinity College Dublin students face exam stress as NPR announces podcast competition

Students at Trinity College Dublin are facing increased difficulties due to the university’s reassessment system. The timing of supplemental exam results, which are released only one week before the new term begins, creates significant logistical challenges for students regarding accommodation, employment, and course planning. This is particularly impactful for international students. Additionally, a delay in issuing official transcripts—often occurring a month after results are known—can prevent graduating students from enrolling in postgraduate programs.

In the United States, NPR has announced the return of its College Podcast Challenge for 2026. The competition offers a $5,000 grand prize for the best college podcast in America and $500 scholarships for finalists. Now in its sixth year, the challenge includes a new Senior Podcast Challenge for individuals aged 65 and older.
