Trinity Joy Johnson pleads guilty to federal child pornography charges

Trinity Joy Johnson, 26, of Gainesville, Florida, has pleaded guilty in federal court to multiple charges involving the production, distribution, and possession of child sexual abuse material. The charges include two counts of producing child pornography, 15 counts of distribution, and one count of possession.

According to court records and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida, Johnson used her cellphone to take sexually explicit photographs of a toddler in her care. She subsequently shared these images, along with other illegal material, online with strangers while engaging in sexually explicit conversations. Investigators discovered more than 100 such files on her device.

The investigation was a collaborative effort involving the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, the Gainesville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and Homeland Security Investigations. Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced on November 23, 2026, in Gainesville.
