Trio Zero Bala musicians injured in Rio de Janeiro car accident

Renner and Ronner Salles da Cunha, 37-year-old twin brothers and members of the forró group Trio Zero Bala, are in serious condition following a car accident on the RJ-159 highway in Quatis, Rio de Janeiro.

The accident occurred on Sunday night, September 6, while the musicians were changing a flat tire on the shoulder of the road. Another vehicle traveling in the same direction struck their car, resulting in the brothers being hit.

Ronner, the group's guitarist and vocalist, is conscious but has suffered fractures in both legs. He has undergone one surgery and is awaiting a second. Renner, the keyboardist, remains in serious condition and is receiving medical care.

The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police, specifically the 100th Police Station of Porto Real, is investigating the incident. The group's activities have been suspended indefinitely.
