Trion High School to host Harvest Moon Gala instead of traditional homecoming dance

Trion High School is restructuring its homecoming traditions for the 2026-2027 school year. To avoid scheduling conflicts and competition overlaps, the school will replace its traditional homecoming dance with the Harvest Moon Gala. This new event is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Summerville Train Depot, occurring a month before other homecoming festivities.

The gala is hosted by the school's FCCLA, FBLA, and TSA clubs. Tickets are priced at $10 in advance and $15 at the door, with semi-formal attire required. Other homecoming activities include a football game against Manchester High School on October 23rd, preceded by a Pink-Out pep rally and a themed spirit week.

In addition to these events, pep rallies serve as a central component of the school's community-building efforts, designed to foster unity and connection among students, faculty, and families through shared school spirit.
