Ctrip lists Virgin Galactic space tourism packages for 2027

Ctrip, China’s largest travel agency, has listed Virgin Galactic suborbital spaceflight packages for 2027 through its luxury brand, Honghu Yiyou. The trips are priced starting at 5.1 million yuan (approximately 760,000 USD) per person.

The six-day itinerary is based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It includes four days of preparation—such as visiting Spaceport America, simulator training, and full rehearsals—followed by a 90-minute suborbital flight on the fifth day. The package covers accommodation, training, and specialized gear like custom spacesuits, but excludes international airfare, visas, and personal expenses.

Reservations require a non-refundable deposit of 150,000 USD. While a sales counter on the platform briefly showed 681 units sold, Ctrip clarified that this figure represented total global orders for Virgin Galactic, whereas the platform had specifically received two bookings. The availability of these flights depends on Virgin Galactic successfully deploying its new generation of Delta class spacecraft.
