Tripura and Mizoram to form teams to assess border issues

Tripura and Mizoram have agreed to form separate teams to conduct a detailed assessment of their inter-state boundary issues. This decision followed a high-level Home Secretary-level meeting held at the State Guest House in Agartala.

The primary objective of these teams is to collect relevant documents and information to examine various aspects of the boundary. The findings from this initial phase will serve as the foundation for future discussions aimed at identifying potential solutions to the border-related matters.

The meeting emphasized the necessity of coordinated steps between the two governments based on factual documentation. The Tripura delegation included senior officials from the Home, Power, and Revenue departments, while the Mizoram delegation included representatives from the Home and Revenue departments.
