Tripura Police rescue missing minor from Bengaluru

The South Tripura District Police have successfully recovered a minor girl from Sabroom who had been missing since June. The girl was located and rescued in Bengaluru, over 3,000 kilometers away from her home.

Investigators utilized technical and digital leads, including Call Data Record (CDR) and Location Based Services (LBS) analysis, with support from the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID), to trace the girl and the accused to Karnataka. A three-member police team, including women personnel, was dispatched to Bengaluru to coordinate the recovery with the Bengaluru City Police and Whitefield Police Station.

The accused named in the FIR has been arrested and was produced before a magistrate in Bengaluru Rural District. Following the issuance of a transit warrant, the team returned to Tripura with the girl and the suspect on August 14. The accused is currently being produced before the jurisdictional court, while the minor is receiving care under strict child-protection procedures to ensure her privacy and dignity.
