Tripura tourism to drive economic growth and jobs, says CM Manik Saha

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha stated that tourism is emerging as a vital factor for the state's economic progress and is expected to create significant employment opportunities for the youth. Speaking on World Tourism Day, Saha noted that the state government has focused on developing and renovating various temples, historical sites, and tourist destinations.

These initiatives have led to an increase in tourist numbers across different parts of the state. Saha highlighted that tourism's growth will boost the state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), noting that Tripura already ranks second among northeastern states in terms of GSDP. To support this sector, the government is working to improve infrastructure and services while focusing on skill development and training for local communities to benefit from tourism-related activities.
