Tripwire Interactive announces Maneater 2 for 2027

Tripwire Interactive and Demiurge Studios have announced Maneater 2, a sequel to the 2020 shark-themed action RPG. Revealed during a Sony State of Play, the game is scheduled for a 2027 release.

Set in Neptune’s Kingdom, an ultra-luxury seaside theme park on a private island, the sequel moves away from the coastal settings of the original. The environment features artificial biomes ranging from arctic to volcanic zones, created through advanced bioengineering. Players will control a bull shark, navigating an open world to eat, explore, and evolve through genetic modifications.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch 2. Chris Parnell returns to voice the narrator, Trip Westhaven.
