Trisobbio to host 21st National White Truffle Fair

The medieval village of Trisobbio is preparing for the 21st edition of the National White Truffle Fair, scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event will feature a market exhibition with stands hosted by local truffle hunters, known as 'trifolao,' who provide short-chain, zero-kilometer products.

A major focus of the fair is the traceability and certified origin of the white truffles. Through a collaboration between the Monferrato White Truffle Municipalities and the University of Eastern Piedmont, a scientific system has been developed to verify the territorial origin and ensure the authenticity of the high-quality fungi from the Alto Monferrato region.

Preparatory events include evening previews at the Trisobbio Castle, such as a sensory tasting event on October 22. On the day of the fair, visitors can access various dining options ranging from formal menus to street food, including traditional dishes like truffle tagliolini and polenta with mushroom sauce.
